BUTCHART GARDENS IN VICTORIA

IN THE SUMMER OF 2005 OUR FAMILY TOOK A TRIP BY RAILROAD TO SEATTLE AND THEN RENTED A CAR TO TOUR VANCOUVER. ONE OF THE BEST ATTRACTIONS WE MADE WAS THE BUTCHART GARDENS IN VICTORIA. IT IS A 55 ACRE WELL KEPT GARDEN THAT WAS TRANSFORMED FROM A DUSTY GRAVEL PIT. THEY HAVE OVER 10,000 PEOPLE VISIT THE GARDEN AND VARIOUS TYPES OF ETHNIC GARDENS AND STORES. ALL OF THE GARDENS ARE VERY BEAUTIFUL AND WELL KEPT. THEY INCUDE A JAPANESE GARDEN, AN ITALIAN GARDEN, A ROSE GARDEN, A SUNKEN GARDEN, MANY EUROPEAN LOOKING GARDENS AND MANY ORIENTAL LOOKING BRIDGES.

THEY HAVE BUILT HILLTOP VISTAS AND MILES OF TRAILS THAT WE HIKED, OVERLOOKING BEAUTIFUL OCEAN ALCOVES. THEIR GARDENS ARE WELL LANDSCAPED AND THEY HAVE BEAUTIFUL LILY PONDS. WE TOOK MANY PICTURES OF THESE GARDENS. I WROTE IT UP AS A NEWSLETTER FOR MY COACHING WEBSITE WITH A BEAUTIFUL PHOTO.
